Aversa

I travelled down from Rome to Aversa for Nicola's birthday, and we had a great time. The party was a lot of fun, and it was followed by an abortive attempt to visit Benevento in a tropical style downpour.

Florence

We drove up to Florence on Friday, as I'd never been to the town before. The little Fiat Panda I rented wasn't the best on the A1 motorway, but it did the job. Florence by night was stunning, and equally so by day.

Rome

All too quickly it was Sunday, and the end of the trip. We travelled back down to Rome, and met up with the girls for a pleasent lunch and stroll around rain-soaked Rome.

Nicola took the train back to Aversa in the evening, and I stayed over at Selena's apartment, as my flight back was early on the next morning. All in all, a wonderful trip, and a very relaxing few days.
